Almost late again today! But wasn't, so that's OK, what's more we managed to skip assembly - not that there's much difference...Oh, except us being able to sneak food into our mouths more easily than being in the parade square. What were we eating? Hershey's Kissables. Niceeee, especially the crispy shell.

During Maths class today, our dear, digressing-as-always but quite-nice teacher, Mr Tan, told us his experience of a birthday celebrated at a certain university in Singapore. His "friends" would throw him into a dirty pond as a birthday...surprise. He said it's super dirty. Nice friends.

Oh yea, had two disappointments today.
  1. I thought I could miss the Chemistry retest next week since I have dental appointment on Tuesday, but the test is on Wednesday.
  2. The day-off in lieu of normal Chinese paper is on the same day as my dental appointment = no extra day-off.
That may be true, but I just suddenly remembered - Labour Day is on Thursday! -pops confetti- Whooya!

Oh wait. This sucks. We're like on-off-on-off-on? School-no-School-no-School? -___-. Fucktarded. Should have chosen Monday as my appointment date! ARGG!

Now, aren't my mother pleased? <__<

I don't know what to say, but I hope things will change for the better. Natsuki Takaya (高屋 奈月), of the "Fruits Basket" fame, has another series, "星は歌う"（fan-translation: Twinkle Star), started in Hana to Yume! Looks promising, might buy when Chuang Yi publishes it. Eien no Monogatari

Hi, Weave. It's Friday! My favourite day of the week. We had to write a "It's year 2100, you're gonna die in a nuclear war, whatcha gonna do?" short essay. I, being the 浪漫主义-type of person, decided to write a touching story...which turned out to be funny. LOL. Well, I said that I'll sing a song for everyone if I'm gonna die tomorrow and that if I'm sincere enough, tomorrow will come and I won't die "...but tomorrow has come and I--". OK, the "--" means "BOTHER, I'M DEAD". Everyone who read it decided to laugh. Well, from another perspective, it's really dumb I guess. -sigh- I can't be a novelist, then? Connections

It’s almost three months since Jonghyun committed suicide, but I remain easily affected by any mention of him or his works. And he is but a celebrity whom I have a one-sided acquaintance with and actively sought out news about him years ago. It’s probably really hard for people who have never liked or cared about celebrities enough to understand his effect, not just on me, but the millions of fans who have varying levels of acquaintance with and active following of his news. The last celebrity death that managed to cause such a stir was probably MJ, then again he wasn’t an idol and the emotionally invested fans are not as aplenty. Fans - no, actually people in general - give condolences like “he’s in a better place now”, but the more I think about it, isn’t the only “better place” absolutely loss of consciousness for people who commit suicide?
