(A lot of) Shit Happens

Annyeong, blog!

It's time for another one of those "Dental Appointment Stories"! This time round, the stories aren't so happy. It's a freaking nightmare-ish day for both PCJ and I. Really, I wish I could punch something!

To make things simpler, I'll curse and swear about the suay things we experienced first.

The start of the day was OK for me - the agony belongs to my PCJ. For one, she forgot to wear the elastics for her braces (hard to explain) and had to rush home to put them on. It would've been forgotten and buried deep in our memory, but guess what? We reached the clinic and the receptionist told her "Eh? You don't have an appointment today. Didn't you receive mail telling you that your appointment's postponed?" 뭐야!

Rush home and put on elastics? Check.
Caused me to be late for appointment for no reason? Check.
Starved us? Check.
Pissed? Definitely.

The receptionist said PCJ should have received mail about her changed appointment date as her doctor was on medical leave. Receive mail?! What era are we in? If you can SMS your patients to remind them of their appointments, you could've just SMS her! Sheesh. Well at least PCJ managed to skip one of her appointments, since the next appointment date of hers will be on the day as the next one of mine. Lucky her, I had to endure one more appointment. <____<

Anyway. Before experiencing the most hair-tearing and blood-pressure-raising, dear PCJ had to get mugs for her parents so we went to Cards n Such at Raffles Place but that place had limited stock so we went to Plaza Singapura's outlet, which annoyingly had limited stock too!
In the end she bought the pair of mugs which was available at Raffles Place too. What's more insulting is that, the last time she wanted to get a mug for her Mum on Mother's Day, the store didn't have it either! Now, too! WHY!?

Finally we settled everything and went to Novena to get the most anticipated thing: The Kozine magazine! We expected that the counter won't have any copies, so we went up to the Han Sang restaurant, which didn't have any either! After walking around the mall for a really long time, searching, we finally saw it hidden at a counter of a restaurant!
Happily spazzing about our find, we asked one of the waiters if we could have 2 copies, but then suddenly, this woman from the neighbouring restaurant came and stop the waitress from giving to us.

WHY?!?!??!

So near, yet so far. The nearness is like, a glass window's thickness away. I really don't understand why that woman came and interfere. Did she want to be selfish and keep all the n-number copies of Kozine to herself? Or is she the manager? Even if she's the manager and wanted to keep the mags for her customers, the problem is, does anybody even know that you have the freaking magazines at all?! It's so hidden it's like somebody gave you flyers and you just dump them somewhere unnnoticeable. Argh! We'll be back next month! If it's still there, we WILL get it!

That's around the time my bad luck surfaced.
Went to Cotton On (saw Hong Kiat working there, BTW!) to get a pair of really cheap 3/4 jeans, but it was out-of-stock already! So I thought, 'kay, if that's gone, I'd better go and get that Espirt shirt, but the Novena outlet was out of it too. I didn't believe I'll be so freaking suay, so I went to Bishan's and it didn't have the shirt either! ARGH!

Really horrible day! Quoting myself (after 2 strangers almost knocked into me), "WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYBODY TODAY?!"
