I don't know what to say, but I hope things will change for the better. Natsuki Takaya (高屋 奈月), of the "Fruits Basket" fame, has another series, "星は歌う"(fan-translation: Twinkle Star), started in Hana to Yume! Looks promising, might buy when Chuang Yi publishes it. I just hope CY doesn't come up with a corny translated name like, 星星之歌, or something. I've been exploring Wikipedia today. I have no idea why I jumped from "researching" on Cowboy Bebop to exploring Wikipedia. WTF. And I also went to check out the release schedule for V. Knight, Taichou wa Meido sama! and Ouran . I can't wait to read Ouran! Oh yea, went Junction 8's Comics Connection and saw that the "Not suitable for the young" sticker on Ouran #10 is GONE. SAYOUNARA-ed. ADIOS-ed! There, you've finally grown up and realised it's just drag-queens! What I'm confused and amused about is that "霸王爱人", the reprints, does not have the freaking stick...
Hi, Weave. It's Friday! My favourite day of the week. We had to write a "It's year 2100, you're gonna die in a nuclear war, whatcha gonna do?" short essay. I, being the 浪漫主义-type of person, decided to write a touching story...which turned out to be funny. LOL. Well, I said that I'll sing a song for everyone if I'm gonna die tomorrow and that if I'm sincere enough, tomorrow will come and I won't die "...but tomorrow has come and I--". OK, the "--" means "BOTHER, I'M DEAD". Everyone who read it decided to laugh. Well, from another perspective, it's really dumb I guess. -sigh- I can't be a novelist, then? After school, I pon-ed my "CCA", Go-Home Club, by not going home! -gets stoned for being so lame- Well, I went to Sembawang with the usual peeps to a) eat lunch( of course la... ) b) get a A4 "notebook" for the stupid English Vocabulary shit c) borrow books from the Library And OMG I love ...
It’s almost three months since Jonghyun committed suicide, but I remain easily affected by any mention of him or his works. And he is but a celebrity whom I have a one-sided acquaintance with and actively sought out news about him years ago. It’s probably really hard for people who have never liked or cared about celebrities enough to understand his effect, not just on me, but the millions of fans who have varying levels of acquaintance with and active following of his news. The last celebrity death that managed to cause such a stir was probably MJ, then again he wasn’t an idol and the emotionally invested fans are not as aplenty. Fans - no, actually people in general - give condolences like “he’s in a better place now”, but the more I think about it, isn’t the only “better place” absolutely loss of consciousness for people who commit suicide? I don’t mean knocked out, but never having to have another thought again, because that’s exactly what tortured JH to his death. If a “be...
